I produce online video so camera equipment is a vital part of the business. I didn't spend much time on the site because every step of the process was streamlined and not desperate to squeeze more money out of you with add-ons. The related product recommendations are unobtrusive, relevant, and possibly even hand-picked.

Their lens line-up is easier to browse than any other site I've used, and they seem to attract a more professional crowd, so the product reviews on their site are more helpful as well. However, they have (at least in my New England location) faster free shipping than Amazon, possibly even Prime. Brian Markman smoothed over his mess after a previous unfortunate experience with BH, but I don't think I should recommend companies where you have to have a special contact to be treated well.ī&H had camera equipment at prices that appear to be what Amazon sets its prices to in order to be competitive. His mixture of condescension and arrogance is another reason to avoid this company if at all possible. Sad because they were a good company before that. I've just had too many problems ordering through bh over the last few years. I strongly suspect they would have sold it out from under me if I hadn't made a big deal out of it. I contacted customer support and magically they shipped the item. I randomly checked the site about a week later and the item was in stock, but mine hadn't shipped.

Seems like the company stops caring about the customer the minute they have your money. Call for sales and you're talking to someone in 1-5 minutes, but they refuse to help you. It seems like I have to call support every other order now.
